The workshop was to create awareness about the Indian traditional crafts; the organization helps to give exposure all the crafts enthusiast and textile students for providing hands on experience under the guidance of senior textile practitioner and local faculty for the creative output. We have planned the workshop as below listed:

Day -1 Introduction of faculty members and participants, and discussion about their background, sharing Indian traditional samples, visited to the market to buy fabrics and materials.

Day -2 Introduction of some basic stitches with the help of artisans, and introducing the theme, for example we worked of bags and pouches.

Day- 3 Heritage walk and visits to the local Textile related Museum like City Palace Museum and Anokhi Museum, and second half working on the embroidery samples.

Day – 4 Coordinated to help all the participants for their finishing the samples and introducing new techniques. Second half exploring Gold and silver printing.

Day – 5 It was a half-day workshop, prepared for the exhibition at Diggi Palalce on 14th Jan 2012.
